Ilana Martin: Paintings

Our little garden is in full bloom at the moment because "The Queen of Flowers", Ilana Martin, has just opened an exhibition at our café! Her colourful paintings will be here until the end of May.

Gastronomy Farmer

Meet Jonathan.

One day, while we were discussing a food related emergency, Jonathan walked into the cafe wearing a T-shirt with a picture of an ambulance on it. Bingo.

Now Jonathan is our new keittiömestari' - our 'Gastronomy Farmer'. He's from the Emerald Isle, the land of Leprechauns, where so many other Irish men come from. Unlike most Irish he's pretty handy with a spatula. He found his calling while in France, where a chef de cuisine called Freddy Coupeau took note of his abilities and polished up this rough diamond. Many years and many kitchens later he's now in our kitchen.

Be sure to sample his soups, salads or signature sandwich the next time you stop by!

We're Back!

The air is getting warmer, the sun making more frequent appearances, even the branches on Villipuutarha's ceiling burst into bloom - Spring is approaching and our little café will open very soon, next Monday in fact!

Welcome back to our little "greenhouse" on Monday 11th of April from 11-18! We are extremely happy to be back!

Summer State of Mind

Yesterday we hosted the confirmation reception of a very handsome young man and it was a really wonderful event with great guests, speeches and even live violin music! After the event we did a little bit of organizing to give the cafe a new Summer look.


We also kicked off our easy-going Summer cafe opening hours, Tuesday to Friday open 10am until 4pm and on Saturdays we will still serve our deluxe brunch but be sure to reserve your table in advance!

Unfortunately my camera broke about a week ago, and mobile phone picture quality just isn't up to the standard I'd like to keep (as you can tell from the photo above!), so like our little cafe also our little blog will hibernate over the following Summer months. So stop reading and go outside and enjoy the light and sun :)
